I'm going to tell you about my favorite places. Visit at your own risk! LOL!
Mexican - The Plaza - I almost always order the Locos Tacos...amazing! You have to order the queso but be sure to mix it with the salsa...yum! Their fajitas are my second choice and when I'm doing the Keto thing, I substitute mixed veggies for the beans and rice.
Steak & Seafood - The Backdoor Steakhouse - You're going to have to venture 10 miles north into the town of Blair for this one. The Cedar Plank Salmon, Ribeye, grilled shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes...okay, not sure I've ever been disappointed. There's a fun bar upstairs too, by the way. Also, if you're planning a birthday party or event, they have a nice back room to accommodate a large group.
Cheapest Deal in Town - Fred's Famous Fish & Steakhouse simply referred to as "Fred's" by the locals. Also has a bar and really good food. My favorite is the grilled catfish and it's kid friendly too.
Best Breakfast - okay....this is a really hard one! For the best/fastest cleanse :0 you must go eat at Friendship Inn. It's been there like FOREVER and the breakfast is great early in the morning or at 1:00 am, I promise! They also have great fried chicken strips and a large lunch buffet. My other favorite breakfast place is Sunrise Cafe BUT they not only have excellent breakfast, the lunch options are amazing and always changing. Home cooking at its finest - it never disappoints. It's a smaller more intimate venue and is open for breakfast and lunch only.
Hibachi & Sushi - Sakura is it but it's really good! I always get a Bagel Roll because it's just sooooo good and I recently got The Salmon Lover's Roll and it's now my new fave. Be sure to ask for the spicy mayo if you like a little kick with your sushi. The hibachi is great too. I love sauces so I HAVE to have the cream sauce with my chicken and they make a really good one.
Great Burgers & More - Fat Daddy's - LOVE this place! It recently changed owners and it's still amazing but the decor has changed and I love the new ambiance. The owner has gone above and beyond. She even is offering tons of Keto options. Great burgers, soups, salads, sandwiches, daily special, desserts. You'll love it, I promise! Everything is good and made fresh!
Italian - Oh have we got good Italian food! I have two favorites! Roma's has great pizza ( I love tomato, artichokes and onion pizza), stromboli and many, many delicious entrees. I think my family's favorite is the Chicken Pesto Genovese (hope I spelled that correctly). Chicken Diablo is my spicy choice and Judge's Special is my simple choice. Love their soups too and don't forget to order a glass of wine to complement your meal. My other favorite Italian place is Luigi's. They have two locations, Altus and Blair, and I'm telling you they make the best calzone I've ever eaten. If you're eating Keto, order a calzone without the bread and you won't believe how good it it. I like the red sauce poured on top but my husband likes the butter and red sauce. Luigi's is a more casual setting and they deliver too!
